During this current Spring 2020 semester, the Diversity and Inclusion Office opened a new lounge for students. The Multicultural International Lounge or the “MIL” is a study room/hangout room/lounge that is on the bottom floor of the ELC. The newly opened lounge is in between the mailroom and the Bison, providing for a very convenient location. The room offers a collection of couches and desks available for students. As well as the occasional snacks or candy bars left on the table available for the taking.

This new lounge gives students an opportunity to work in a smaller comfortable space. Whether students are working, sleeping, or hanging out, people are always in and out of the MIL creating an active and safe student environment. As the MIL continues to attract students, I don’t see why this lounge won’t be one of the most popular places to work and hang out in the coming years.
