How to Get Involved with Diversity and Inclusion at Bucknell

By Macrae Olson ‘22

Diversity and Inclusion has been constantly expanding and growing throughout Bucknell’s campus. If you are looking for a way to get involved, don’t worry there are plenty of opportunities! So… what can you do?

Try checking out Sunday LGBTQ weekly viewings! The Office of LGBTQ Resources has partnered with LGBTQ representations in media and camp classes from the English department. There are meetings every Sunday from 7:00PM-10:00PM in the ELC – ROOM #272. At these meetings the LGBTQ Resources office and the English department show LGBTQ+ film, tv and media representations. The schedule is subject to change so contact the LGBTQ office for more details!

As well as this, check out SNMA-MAPS. SNMA-MAPS, or Student National Medical Association – Minority Association for Pre-medical Students, is a club that provides resources for Minority students in pre-Med and also encourages students to join the pre health program at Bucknell. This club meets every Thursday from 8:00PM-9:00PM in the ELC – ROOM #256. Be sure to check this out if you are in or interested in the pre-medical track here at Bucknell.

Also, be sure to check out the Bucknell Events calendar for more diversity and inclusion events that pop up this semester!
